Jiffy came into our care from Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter, where he was struggling.
At the shelter, he was absolutely terrified—hiding under his bed, overwhelmed, and unable to truly show who he was. It was clear he wasn’t thriving in that environment, and we knew he needed a different kind of support.
So we pulled him into rescue.
In his foster home, Jiffy began the slow process of decompressing and learning to trust.
His foster worked patiently with him, giving him the time, structure, and encouragement he needed. Little by little, Jiffy started to come out of his shell.
These early days are often the hardest—but they’re also where the transformation begins.
Jiffy’s forever home came in the form of Ryan and Cassie—an experienced, thoughtful couple who were more than ready to welcome a dog into their lives.
After spending years caring for their senior cat through complex health challenges, they took time to grieve before opening their hearts again. This wasn’t a rushed decision—it was intentional.
And when they chose Jiffy, they were all in.
