Mr. Bates weighs around 35 pounds, a perfect blend of size and grace, and is approximately 3-4 years old. Despite his past, he has retained a sweet and gentle nature. He does well on a leash but gets nervous if he hears a loud sound. His background is heart-wrenching: rescued from a very bad puppy mill case, he was kept in a shed with no heat or air conditioning year-round and had no access to the outdoors. This traumatic experience has left him a bit skittish, and he will try to bolt if he hears a loud noise that scares him.
Despite his fears, Mr. Bates is a sweet and gentle dog who will make a very loyal companion.
