Meet Donnie — a resilient Aussie boy with a heart full of love and a stub-tail that never stops wiggling!
Donnie is a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd with the classic cropped tail and a story that will tug at your heartstrings. This sweet, social boy came to us after a local shelter reached out for help — he had been shot in the head. Miraculously, the bullet only grazed his skull and ear, and thanks to our incredible vet, Donnie survived and is now thriving. He still has a bit of scar tissue as a reminder of what he’s overcome, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit.
Donnie is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s playful, active, and loves to be part of the fun. Whether it’s going for a walk, a jog, or just playing with dog friends in the yard, Donnie is all in. He’s crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is eager for his next adventure.
He would do best in an active home that can provide him with the exercise, stimulation, and love he craves. After all he’s been through, Donnie is more than ready for a fresh start with a family that sees the beautiful soul he is.
