Throughout 2024, our team responded to countless animals facing heartbreaking and often unimaginable situations.
From overcrowded shelters and neglect cases to abandoned and vulnerable animals in need of urgent care, our volunteers worked tirelessly to provide rescue, rehabilitation, veterinary care, foster placement, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
Every adoption represented a life changed — not only for the animals we rescued, but also for the families who welcomed them home.
In 2024 alone, more than 303 dogs found loving forever homes through Da Vinci’s Dream.
Transportation continued to play a critical role in our rescue efforts throughout 2024.
Our volunteers traveled more than 50,000 miles across over 10 states to help animals reach safety, foster homes, veterinary care, and adoptive families. These transport efforts allowed us to connect vulnerable animals with lifesaving opportunities they may not otherwise have received.
For many animals, transport represents the first step toward healing, stability, and a second chance at life.
In addition to rescue and adoption efforts, Da Vinci’s Dream continued expanding community outreach initiatives throughout 2024.
Through our Feral Cat Winter House Project, volunteers built and donated more than 100 insulated shelters to help outdoor cats and dogs stay warm during harsh winter weather.
We also donated more than 5,000 pounds of dog and cat food to shelters and community members in need, helping support vulnerable animals both inside and outside of rescue care.
Our outreach efforts reflected an important part of our mission: alleviating suffering wherever we can and supporting the communities working tirelessly to care for animals in need.
Throughout the year, our volunteers participated in hands-on improvement projects designed to create safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environments for homeless animals.

None of this work would have been possible without the incredible dedication of our volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, veterinarians, transporters, and supporters.
Every mile driven, every kennel cleaned, every house built, every bag of food donated, and every animal saved was made possible because compassionate people chose to step forward and help.
2024 was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared mission to protect vulnerable animals and create brighter futures.

As we move into 2025, Da Vinci’s Dream remains committed to rescue, rehabilitation, humane outreach, shelter partnerships, and creating lasting change for animals throughout Kentucky and beyond.
