We are a volunteer-based organization, and due to the high volume of applications and inquiries we receive, we may not be able to respond to every message.
Important Information for Potential Adopters:
FAQ Page: Before reaching out to us, we encourage you to visit our FAQ page under the Adopt tab. Many common questions are answered there.
Application Process: To streamline our adoption process and ensure the best match for our animals, we require potential adopters to submit an application for the specific dog or cat they are interested in. You can apply here:
Animal Bios: Basic details about each animal are available in their bios. Please review this information thoroughly before contacting us with questions about a specific animal.
Fit Assessment: We appreciate your enthusiasm for our animals, but we may not be able to answer all questions about an animal until we know more about you. To help us understand if you would be a good fit, we request that you submit an application first.
Approved Applications: We prioritize inquiries from individuals with approved applications. If you are genuinely interested in a particular animal, please complete and submit an application found under the Adopt tab.
Important Notes:
We do not call adopters to discuss an animal unless they have an approved application.
We do not respond to messages such as "Is this [insert dog or cat's name] still available?" Please check our Available Dogs or Available Cats pages and look for a "Pending Adoption" tag. If present, the animal is in the process of being adopted.
We are not first come, first serve. We allow multiple applicants to be put in on an animal and then place them with the home we believe is the best fit.
We do not respond to any emails that already have an answer on our FAQ page. Please understand that we are volunteer-based and receive a tremendous number of applications, emails, Facebook messages, etc. We simply do not have the resources to respond to messages that have already been answered in multiple locations on our website.
